![]() ![]() The SP-H9 is an expression pedal, not an in line volume pedal, and you cannot connect an instrument to it. The SP-H9 is intended only for connection directly to the EXP input on a single H9. Note that in this case you would use an expression pedal compatible with Expressionator or the MIDI controller. If you wish to share a single expression pedal between more than one H9, it is recommended to use Expressionator or a MIDI controller. The SP-H9 connects to one H9 via the EXP input. If you need to connect multiple switches and expression pedals to the H9 at the same time, it is recommended to use a MIDI controller. You cannot use the SP-H9 and a three way switch at the same time, at least not via the EXP input. It does not support an expression pedal AND three switches. Watch the step by step videos on installing and configuring the H9 control software in this electronic user guide for more information. The EXP input on the H9 supports one expression pedal and one aux switch, OR three aux switches. Setup is documented in the Eventide H9 User Guide. This can be done using the on-board pedal menus, or via a USB or wireless connected Mac, PC or mobile device using the H9 Control software. Power for the LED is provided to the expression pedal by the H9 when using a TRS cable. After connecting the pedals, it is necessary to configure the H9 settings to tell it what you want the expression pedal and switch to control. ![]() Mission recommends the MXR M199 Tap Tempo pedal. The expression pedal and switch functions are passive, and the SP-H9 does not require a power supply or battery. It is currently not possible to configure the H9 for the two switches to control different functions.Īux switches should be TS, Momentary, Normally Open (NO). They appear to the H9 as a single switch. When using a remote aux switch, both the on board toe switch and the remote aux switch will operate in parallel. To use a remote aux switch, connect a momentary TS switch to the INPUT on the SP-H9 with a 1/4″ TS instrument cable. The LED will not light when using a regular TS instrument cable and the aux switch functions will not be available. If the LED does not light, check that you are using a TRS cable and that the cable is not damaged and correctly connected. When using a TRS cable, the LED on the front of the SP-H9 should illuminate when the H9 is powered on. Connecting a regular TS instrument cable will enable the expression function only. Connect OUT 1 using 1/4″ TRS (stereo) cable to the EXP input on the rear of the H9.ġ/4″ TRS (stereo) cables are required to use both the expression pedal and switch functions. However, we recommend that you take a few moments to read through this User Guide in order to get the best possible experience with your new pedal. The SP-H9 is an expression pedal with integrated Aux switch control for use with the Eventide H9 Harmonizer. The SP-H9 has one 1/4″ TRS output on the left side marked OUT 1. This product is designed to be intuitive to setup and operate, and to provide many years of trouble free service. Thanks.Congratulations on your purchase of the Mission SP-H9. I'd like to sometimes change multiple parameters at once. It seems like there's a different process for the H9 or I'm just doing something wrong. I saw Eventide's video but it was for one of their factor pedals and I tried going into the app and setting the heal position and the toe position but when I move the expression pedal it only adjust whatever parameters it originally adjusted. ![]() I was also wondering about how to use an expression pedal to change parameters. I don't care about tap tempo since the unit has one on there. Does anyone know how to do this or at least how I can figure out how to teach myself? I didn't see anything on their site about it and when I look in the app it's pretty confusing. ![]() I contacted them but haven't heard back yet but I'm figuring that'll eventually get straighten out but what I'd like to do is to use the up and down switches for presets and then use the middle switch for the hot switch. When I look in the H9 app on my phone it doesn't even show up when I look under midi devices and it doesn't even switch the presets up and down like it's supposed to. I just got a new Disaster Area DMC-3T and I'd as of now it doesn't seem to do anything. I have 2 questions about using an expression and a midi pedal. I know there's a giant H9 thread but that is so big it's hard to navigate through. ![]()
